Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X were the two main faces of Civil Rights protesting. They are most known for the way they speak and the way they can persuade people to join their side. Malcolm X and Martin Luther King’s main goal was to give colored people equality. The two of them mostly agreed on the same idea but both had a different way of protesting. Martin Luther King Jr. believed that his protest should be done in a peaceful manner with no violence. However, Malcolm X believed his protest should be done by any means necessary to achieve what they were protesting for. I agree with Martin Luther King because you shouldn't resort to violence because violence creates more problems.
Martin Luther King’s early life had a huge impact on how he was shaped to be the man he was. He was born into a financially stable family which meant that he got a better education than most of the kids of his race. Martin was a very powerful speaker and can move people with his words. He is capable of getting a random stranger walking on the street to come and listen to him speak. One of his most famous speeches, “I Have A Dream”, was one of the causes to end segregation. Many people choose Martin Luther King Jr. over Malcolm X because Malcolm X was a criminal. He went to jail for seven years in 1946 because of burglary. Martin Luther King was a positive influence to everybody in the world. He wasn’t afraid to stand up in what he believed and he didn’t care what other people had to say about him. Another thing is that Martin Luther King Jr. taught us that you can accomplish anything if you are determined and motivated to do something. He never lost hope in what he believed in even though he was criticized and made fun
