I live in a small town called Plaucheville Louisiana. The population of Plaucheville is less than 1000. It has little to offer anyone, much less young people. The majority of the children in the town have attended or are attending the same elementary and high school. The closest Walmart to Plaucheville is thirty miles away. Plaucheville is an extremely small town. It does not offer any type of college, any places to shop, or anywhere for a young person to work part-time. I graduated from the small catholic school in Plaucheville. After graduating I was accepted into Louisiana State University in Eunice. Eunice is sixty miles away from Plaucheville. I wanted to receive an excellent college education and in order for me to receive that I have to drive an extensive amount of distance. This shows one that Plaucheville does not offer college. In my four years of high school I had two jobs. One job I had was working for my parents at their small convent store in Plaucheville. My parents ended up selling the business, so I was out of a job. Next I worked at a daycare on the outskirts of Plaucheville for my senior year in high school and my summer semester in college. I have a car note to pay and the daycare does not pay much. As you can see there are mainly two places to choose from to work. Plaucheville is small and the convent store can only hire so many people, therefore this is a big disadvantage in living in a small
