Child Abuse
Child abuse is a topic most people do not pay close attention to. In one single year there are more than three million reports of child abuse in the united states. In order to put an end to this epidemic more awareness needs to be out there. Child abuse is a disturbing social problem that effects all parts of society. Child abuse can have a deep impact on children. Most people do not really realize that it is going on. There are four different types of child abuse. There is physical abuse, emotional abuse, verbal abuse, and sexual abuse. All are very important but most are not payed attention too. Other signs can be if the parent or care giver is anxious about the way the child or children acts. If the parent or caregiver says negative things about the child or children such as the child or children is not trustworthy, their evil, the child or children id a troublemaker, or the child or children is a liar are signs of physical abuse also. If a child or children gets hurt and the parent refuses to have them treated, or takes them to a different hospital and doctors there is a good chance that physical abuse is going on. Some behavioral signs of abuse can be anger. This anger can be to pets, other animals, or peers, such as teachers. If a child seems to be afraid of adults, is withdrawn, depressed, has fear and anxiety, wear shirts with long sleeves even in the summer, draws violent pictures in art, have nightmares or cannot sleep, if they have self-destructive behavior, and their attitude is bad, can all be signs of physical abuse as well.
