Christopher Columbus was the Italian man that changed the perception of the world by crossing the Atlantic and discovering America in 1492. The prior statement is not only false, but is also an exaggeration. Christopher Columbus was naïve to his surroundings and believed that he was on an already discovered continent, Asia. To this day, there are notions that Christopher Columbus only brought disease, destruction, and devastation.
