Ever since the end of the prohibition’s appeal by the new president Franklin D. Roosevelt in February 1933, several attempts were made by Congress to repeal the 18th Amendment, but they all failed, bringing an end to the Prohibition’s era, which President Roosevelt called “the great social and economic experiment, noble in motive and far reaching in purpose.”1 It is this social and economic experiment of noble intent that led us to this public health dilemma confronting us today.
Even though alcohol is now legal in all states and was intended to cut back on crime and dependency, it has led to a vicious cycle of social and health problems. Therefore, I have decided to focus on the prevalence of excessive alcohol consumption by men in the State
