The book i read was, The Fear Street Saga 2. The Secret by R.L Stine. The book was published by Pocket Books with 147 pagaes The book is about this family with the last name Feir. The father was Ezra, mother Jane, son Jonathan two daughters Abigail and Rachael. The family was from Pennsylvania, and had been traveling six months in a wagon headed to Wickham Village, Massachusetts. The only people that knew why they where headed to this town was Ezra Fier, and Jane Fier. The children had no idea. Jonathon saw a sign that read Wickham Village and he was glad. Jonathan and his father see fancy wagon without horses. The horses was dead and had been for awhile. They can see in the wagon and there are three dead women inside. …show more content…
Jonathon has to watch his sister Abigil and she wants to sneak into town and Jonathon doesnt want to, but he goes with her. Abigail finds puppy skelton and wants to bury it so they find a shovel. They keep going to the town in secret and he can't find his sister one day and finds her playing with a little girl. The little girl gets scared and runs and hides and Abigail tells Jonathon her name was Hester. Later the little girl comes to the house and asks if Abigail could play with her and Ezra said yes, but be back before dark. Abigail didn't come back home and everyone was getting worried. Ezra went to look for her and Jonathon wants to go and his father told him no. Jonathon sneaks out because hes the only one that knows where the girls had gone. Ezra hears the girls playing and heads toward town. He starts calling for Abigail, but she doesn't answer. Ezra is walking toward the graveyard and finds a head stone that says Hester Goode. The little girl was a ghost, he finds a new grave dug and it had Abigails name on it, his father was horrified. Jonathon comes to the graveyard and finds what his father has discovered. They keep hearing a voice saying can Abigail come play? They start digging up the grave and find a little coffin and Abigail was inside it dead. Jonathon is eighteen now and has a friend named Delilah Wilson in the new town they have moved to. She brought them over a pie to welcome them her father is a preatcher. Jonathon runs into Delilah several times in town. One night everyone was in bed and Jonathon heard something and couldn't go to sleep the next morning Rachel went to get the water from the well and it was full of blood. Ezra blamed it on the Goode family. Later that night Jonathon is woke up by a noise outside and he see's Abigail's ghost and his mother was going after her. Jonathon later is haunted by his dead sister. Abigail was trying to worn them to beware but they didn't know of what. Jonathon decides to go see Delilah the next day and tell her all about the ghost of his sister and she is in shock. Delilah tells Jonathon that thery are leaving town and maybe everything would go back to normal with them gone. That night everyone is woke up from someone screaming in the back yard. They cant find there mama, they finally find her dead in the well. Jonathon goes to Delilah house and begs her to tell him the secret that she knows. She finally tells him that their last name was Goode. They changed their name because another town ran them out of town because the town thought they had caused the plague to come to the town.
