The Friar’s Foolish Plan

Have you ever had a major problem that you can not solve? In the story Romeo and Juliet, Juliet has this problem. To solve this problem Juliet goes to the most untrustworthy person ever, Friar Laurence. The Friar gives her a solution which causes the tragedy. Juliet should have never trusted the Friar. The Friar is foolish, selfish, and he never should have married Romeo and Juliet in the first place, that is why he is to blame for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. The Friar is to blame because he was very foolish. He was foolish because he gave the potion to Juliet. “Take thou this vial, being then in bed, and this distilled liquor drink thou off; when presently through all thy veins shall run a cold drowsy humor,” (Shakespeare 453). The potion would put Juliet to sleep so it would make her look like she is dead. The Friar’s plan sounded good but it had to many factors to it. So many things could have gone wrong. All of the Friar’s plans ended up in complete disaster.
Although the Friar is to blame some people might accuse the parents for Juliet’s death. Even though the parents had a feud that does not mean that they have the most blame. He was the one that came up with all of the stupid and mindless plans for Juliet. The Friar should have just went to the parents and let them deal with it. The Friar is a very foolish man who should have just minded his own business. It was very selfish of him to only help them to get himself out of trouble. It was also very empty-headed of him to let Romeo and Juliet get married. Although the Friar was to blame Romeo and Juliet will forever be known as the star-crossed lovers. “For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo,” (Shakespeare
