The gender pay gap has an uncontrolled and controlled gap. An uncontrolled gap is all men and women no matter their job type, education, or experience. A controlled gap is men and women in the same or similar job type. The data for gender pay gap shows that men make 24 percent more than a woman. This means for every dollar a man makes a woman is only making 74 cents this is part of the uncontrolled gender gap. The controlled gender gap is much closer, it is men only make about 2 percent more than women. This means for every dollar a man makes a woman make 98 cents. This is a much better ratio. This is a very serious matter that, Dr. Boseman should take a close look to see why Ms. Kate is not being paid the same amount as her male co-workers.
