The Gettysburg Address occurred on November 19, of 1863. At the battle site where the war was held, a cemetery was created where thousands of soldiers that died in the battle were buried in honor and memory. It is known as the Soldiers National Cemetery in America. In his speech, Abraham Lincoln honored and said a tribute to all of the soldiers on both the Union and Confederate side that have passed away in the Gettysburg battle. He also further went on to talk about the topics of slavery and that all men are created equal.
