In the book “ The Ghost Of Crutchfield Hall” by Mary downing Hahn, She does a good job of displaying danger and mysteriousness throughout the book. She uses setting, and characters to display this. In this companion book you will find the dangers that the settings displays to us throughout the book. You will also get a chance to see the difference and similarity between Sofia and Florence, I also show the symbolism that frequently occur. The question throughout the whole book is why Sofia Thoughts are so negative, I show you why her thoughts could all make sense. Lastly I will clear up the thoughts on Sofia’s death and what could have continue to happen.

This shows the difference between the two characters by how they act. Using a comparison, Sofia and Florence can be compared by animals, Sofia is the tiger who is very aggressive and mean. Then Florence is like a dog who is very polite and nice to everyone. Attitude is an very big difference that occurs in the story. Turing to, Sofia has a very stuck up attitude and is very bossy. On the other hand you have Florence who is nice, kind hearted little girl” I sat quietly, sipping my tea and listening to the incessant sound of the wind and the rain” (Page 19 Hahn). This shows how polite Florence. Most of the time the dialogue really introduces the characters. When Sofia and Florence talk back and forth, you can really tell the difference between the characters this shows contrast that the two characters display. This really shows how Sofia and Florence really are two different characters in the story by words and their tone to people.
