In Greek mythology some gods were closer to the humans than others and help them better their world. In the story “Anthem” by Ayn Rand our main character, Equality 7-2521 names himself and his girlfriend after gods and titans. This is shown on page 99 where he says “there was a time where each man had a name”. He gave himself the name Prometheus and his wife Gaea. Prometheus was a titan who gave the earth the gift of fire and metal working. This is a perfect fit because equality tries to give his city the gift of light. He also gave his wife the name of the goddess Gaea. Who was the creator of the earth and the first gods. This correlates with her because they are try to recreate and rebuild the earth to be a better place. In conclusion, the
