Tom felt the need to escort me to the party at Gatsby's. He said I was a lady and I cannot be running around alone,especially at night. I said yes, of course. He is my husband as it is. I wanted to go to Gatsby’s party tonight and Tom could join if he pleased. When we arrived at the party it was bustling with people and excitement. I turned to Nick and said that he could kiss me anytime he like. Before he could respond, Gatsby told me to look around, and I did just that. There were men and women dancing crazily to the loud, jazzy music other people stood close to each other having close intimate conversations. Tom obviously didn’t take kindly to it and expressed his discontent. Gatsby didn’t have a care in the world though and kept doing it.. I was so entranced by all the people, mostly the celebrities.I even made a comment about a man I had seen previously that I adored, though I could not remember his name, but it was no matter, I still liked him. Gatsby and I danced. He is quite the dancer, he dances like a fox his movements are precise and never wasted, I always had been a good dancer but not to the extent of Gatsby, and I always get a rush when his body is so close to mine and our eyes meet as we dance. It brings me back to the past, the past where I should not be going, but love always tells me the way to go. That autumn night stabs its way into my heart and I feel my heart beat faster as I think of it. We had been walking down the street, watching the leaves fall. I watched the helpless creatures as they held onto the withering branches with what little they had left until they had to let go and fall to the ground, only to be trodden into the earth by the unforgiving feet of man.
