In the 1920s the nation ad its wealth doubled ad its economic growth has chaged multiple Americas into the consumer society (Lovelady 2). During these times writers ad artists have build up through society (WWI Expatriates); The WWI Expatriates known as the “Lost Generation” consists may famous authors who published novels through World War 1 like: Fitzgerald was known famously for the Great Gatsby ad Short stories. Scott Fitzgerald was born on September 24, 1896 who was raised up in St. Paul Minnesota. Fitzgerald attended St. Paul’s Academy ad started writing in the school’s newspaper however he also published his first story in 1909. Scott attended a boarding school in New Jersey later then he enrolled in Princeton University in 1913 until he dropped out ad join the military in 1917 (During World War II); Fitzgerald was married to Zelda Sayre a Southern Socialite who met in Montgomery, Alabama during the 1920’s throughout their marriage Zelda suffered from a mental illness which strained there relationship; until she died in 1948 because of fire that happened within the hospital however during their marriage; Fitzgerald started drinking during the 1930’s while suffering from self-doubts, depression, ad instability(Lovelady 3). The first novel that Fitzgerald published was called “This Side of Paradise”that examined the the lives ad morality of World War 1 youth. The Great Gatsby was Fitzgerald’s famous most impacted novel that signifies ad shows a time of possibility ad freedom. The Great Gatsby is a Romatic Detachment about a ma longing for his beloved, to win back from the ma that took her away from him; however this novel impacted society so much that this book is required to be read in public high schools. Fitzgerald has shed light on society by chaging the cultural ad social influences throughout the nation. Scott also encouraged society by his creative novels through the jazz age by motivation ad inspiration (Marer
