In, “The Healing,” Richard Jellerson's skillful, and often poetic writing, takes readers on an amazing journey. Having survived the savagery and deep psychic wounds of combat as an army helicopter pilot, he needed to mend, needed to heal. Unaware at first as to how deep his wounds were, he only knew he just didn’t feel like going home yet.
But, there was a wonderful trip around the world available: Pan American Flight 001. Much like a Euro-Rail pass, one ticket on this airline was good for one year. Travelers could get off the plane in any country they wanted, stay as long as they wanted, and then get on the next Flight 001 to go visit another country and get to know its people.
