The Holocaust

Genocide is a very big problem in the world and a lot of people die from it. Genocide is the killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation. There are many events in the world that involve genocide which means lots of people have died because of it. Genocide came into general usage only after World War II, and in 1948 the United Nations declared genocide to be an international crime. Lots of groups of people would become extinct or just a few left because of how many times genocide was used in this world.

The Holocaust had the most killing in all events it had 6.3 million innocent lives killed, 1.3 million of them were children. Two out of every three Jews living in Europe at that time were killed during the Holocaust. There were a lot of Jews back then and if the Holocaust had not happened the Jewish culture would probably be a lot larger especially in Europe. After the Holocaust more Jews came to the U.S more than ever before.
