Holodomor can mean “Hunger”. Holodomor was the name that was given to the starvation in the Ukrainian Famine (UF) in 1932. The names of the genocides are the Holocaust and Holodomor. The Holocaust took place in Germany and Poland, the Holodomor Genocide took place in the 1930s. In the Holocaust, there were a lot of people who went against the Nazi’s, in Holodomor, there were a lot of riots that happened between them and the Soviets.
The cause of The Holodomor Genocide was because the people went starving for food, their country couldn’t afford its crops. It has been estimated that “Driven to madness by hunger people were ripping the meat of the dead animals. The stronger ones were getting bigger pieces. The Holodomor Genocide can set examples for the people that are going through things that have to do with food and hunger. The cause of The Holocaust Genocide had to do with the Nazi and Germany between 1930s-1994. It says that “Germany after WWI was a shadow of its former self. The German economy had suffered tremendously”(Holocaust). This is important to know because it can reflect the Holodomor Genocide they both were being bruised mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Then, Germany finally decided to make their life better than before. In this article, it says, “German economic factors weren't helped so they made it easy for many to use the Jews as a scapegoat’’(Hitler’s children).
