After reading the book and watching the movie of the hunger games , there are many similarities and differences between the two of them.When watching the film and the novel , one can make comparisons and contrasts and see obvious effects. There are are many comparison between the movie and the book. One of them was when the games were beginning , and Katniss went for the bow and arrow even though Haymich told the both of them to find water. Another one is when Katniss cuts down the tracker jacker nest to fall down to the careers and Peeta. One of the saddest comparisons is when Katniss sings to Rue before she dies. The last , but not least , is when Thresh spares Katniss’s life. There are several differences between the novel and the film of “The Hunger Games”. For instance in the book when Rue passes away district 11 sent Katniss bread , but in the movie they had a riot to show their thanks. Another example is when Thresh killed Clove , in the book Thresh killed her with a stone , but in the movie he slammed her against the cornucopia wall. One that was not easily spotted was that cato did not kill Thresh in the movie the wolves did, but in the book Cato killed Thresh. One of the biggest things that changed the plot of the movie is that we did not know what anyone was thinking , but Katniss. …show more content…
After thinking about it I ended up liking the book better. The reason i prefer the book more is because I like thinking of the possibilities of what the setting looks like. One main reason, is that reading is more enjoyable because it takes longer to read a book than watch a movie. As you can see, there are many comparisons between the novel and the book.
