“The Hunting Ground” is a documentary about rape in American college campuses. Both young women and men are filmed on cameras talking about how they were raped at their schools and afterwards were denied justice by the same schools they have went to. This documentary of sexual assault happening on college campuses starts off with YouTube videos that show young people, mostly females reacting joyfully to their acceptance letters from colleges. It features numerous interviews with mostly women who describe their horrific experiences and testimonies that they had to go through in life. In the aftermath of their assaults, the young women describe them going through many stress disorders, nightmare panic attacks, self-harm, suicide attempts, and many more. Their stories were delivered in sorrow, with tearful eyes and opened jaws, that made it look shockingly real and that it should be seen by anyone heading off to college or those that are already on campus.

Once it does happen, the victims discover that the officers at their facilities will take no action or even care. These heartless officers act this way in order to maintain their school’s good reputation. It mentioned that an unconscious female was being dragged down the hall by a group of athletes, and the school ignored the possible rape that might have happened. I remember this phrase from the documentary that one gray haired man said: “what happens in college stays in college- most of them.” It is so unbelievably true. The documentary talked about many real-life cases that got me interested. For example, the Swarthmore student, 19-year-old Lizzy Seeberg, Jameis Winston, and many more that were
