A couple years ago I was a little kid from Philippines, raise and born, I have two sisters and three brothers I am the 4th child in the family. On my 14 birthday my family move here in United State except, my mother and older sister. After a couple months later, I started school here, I was a kid from Philippines that didn’t know nothing about the culture here. Every day I tried my hardest to learn English because I can’t go far in life without learning the language. A couple weeks of school I was kind of stress out because I didn’t know any English except: yes, ok, and no. But that didn’t stop from learning I would stay after school and get some help. It took me almost a year to learn basic English, being in the United States has had a big impact on me and my family not knowing English and none of my brothers or sister has been to college and I plan on making them proud of me. And continue my life. I always wanted to be in the military, because when my grandparents were younger they were serving for the Philippines. And they always wanted their grandchildren to have a better life in the United States and serve. …show more content…
I am very different from the other people, I came from very poor country and just trying to change my life, making my future brighter, and making my family proud. This is a big opportunity of my life for being here. This college has everything I am looking for. My older sister graduated college to become a nurse and I want to be the second out of six kids to go to
