As new advancements develop from evidence based practice, it is important to keep in perspective, by adapting to change and keeping an open mind, remembering patients are entrusting professional medical support. Patients safety is valued significantly from evidence based practice research, I firmly support as well as carry out daily. Listening to patients, families, co-workers, and collaborating as unit culture shares not only knowledge, perspectives, to meeting each individual’s needs to best of our abilities, setting apart an increased quality of care standard other organizations strive to obtain. Bellin’s upcoming change with medication refills utilizing the new refill program Swoop, brings many questions arising with several uncertainties from unknown information. Conversations among the team, had brought me to digging into researching “Swoop” for my own personal knowledge and interest.
