It is important to all nurses that have the awareness, skills, and willing to recognize, access, evaluate, and practice evidence of various sources of quality patient care. Nurses can play role in many ways of nursing field such as education, administration, and practice settings to enhance that offers the highest quality care as much as possible to patients that is established to best evidence for considerate of ethnic and contextual aspects, and patient preferences and individual desires (Wilson, et al, 2016).
Also, According to Underhill, et al (2015), evidence-based practice (EBP) in nursing is the combination of clinical proficiency, research evidence, and patient preference to generate effective patient care approaches (Underhill, et al, 2015). …show more content…
According to the nurse journal.org(2017), family nurse practitioners (FNPs) are advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) who able to care medically about the life cycle from infants to geriatric patients. The family nurse practitioner takes care of family with possessing the license and the specific skills necessary to work with this patient group (NurseJournal.org, 2017).
And the nurse practitioners’ scope of practice and ability to work independently varies widely across the country (Britt, 2012). As I know, I can work by myself without any supervising, independently. Also, I love taking care of patients with diverse ages. This is why I chose this specialty track.
