Baseball should be safer because they wear helmets, and it is a non-contact sport you can still get hurt but is it worth the risk. That is why I will be comparing it to football they might wear helmets but it is a contact sport. Some people think that the helmets in baseball need to be more padded, and I would agree. The other thing is that catchers should wear more padding this would help keep the catchers from being injured.
Any sport can have career ending injuries but what if we can make that less common. The ideas above can help with that. www.slate.com said that baseball has more injuries all around than football that means career ending to death. This is why we need to make sure that we keep our players safe. Even if they are making thousands of dollars. If it were not for baseball other ethnic backgrounds may have still been in slavery but baseball showed that other ethnics are a good thing. So imagine if baseball had not evolved as far as it has it would be less safe and the world would be different.
The logistics behind my thinking and others is that the baseball players need to be safer than what they are now, especially the batters and one way is to put more padding in the helmets or make there be a warning the first time a batter is hit in that game after that other penalties should be in play after that batter has touched first base. This will eliminate some of the team bench clearings and keep team rivalries safe.
