Life is a game of blackjack, you just never know what you’re going to get. You either get a good card or a bad one. This kind of uncertainty makes life extremely hard when comes to making difficult decisions. But the magnificence to taking different risks is, because if you’re fortunate, life can place that one card you needed in front of you. One great set can a drive someone out on a mission to balance the pros and cons of their journey, and continue to go out and achieve the best dream in their entire life. In Enrique’s Journey by author Sonia Nazario, the titular character Enrique, is dealt with some serious hardships both good and bad throughout his life, all also going through an internal battle with himself to continue on his journey and not quit. Leading him to finally foresee himself as a worthy person, in terms of spirit, mental, and wealth; however, his arrival in the U.S contests with what he had planned for himself.…show more content… had allowed him to truly discover what his true purpose was, in this world of complete insanity. His journey had also gotten rid of his over resilient fear of becoming a failure amongst other humans; in addition to displaying the symptoms of a distressed man with a goal hidden amongst a heard optimistic wanderers. In Enrique’s Journey, much like what we discussed in class when it came to child abuse. Enrique’s mother force fed a trail of darkness and emptiness into the mind and soul, into what used be happy child and left (or neglects) him by leaving him behind in Honduras to move to America. Without his mother in his early life, Enrique became troubled and depressed, would soon to begin to foresee death of his identity.
