As a child, I was musically talented in and my parents saw an opportunity to help out our local church. Many local churches were in English and the Vietnamese community wanted a parish that would incorporate but English and Vietnamese. It was initially a small community, no one wanted to get involved and soon the issue of music came to light. Many adults that were able to play the piano were often busy, so my parents encouraged me to step up. Initially, I was very against the idea. It would take up every Saturday and extra hours depending on if I would play for funerals and weddings. I hated the idea of spending every Saturday at mass, but the thought of providing music for others made it worth my while. My inspiration to volunteer for this
