The world as we know it today isn’t the same as it was ten, twenty or even fifty years ago. We have advanced in so many ways and the progress we have made over the decades is mainly courtesy of technology. One of the more significant ways in which technology has changed the world today is with how children spend their free time nowadays. Back in the day, children would go outside to play sports or they would spend time fixing a puzzle. Today, many children spend their free time on video games. You would think that children usually play age-appropriate video games. Sadly, that isn’t the case. It is no difficulty for underage children to get their hands on games that are rated mature or for adults only, for example, games that involve violence. Violent video games have dominated the lives of children to the point where it is thought to be a source of influence in terms of children’s behavior in schools, however, that statement is a common fallacy as studies have shown that there is no correlation between violent behavior and playing video games. …show more content…
