I know for a fact that that’s a team I wouldn’t want to be a part of team. While we’re on the subject of a soldier who is obviously undisciplined due to their lack to follow orders let’s talk about that soldier on deployment. Imagine the situation that we talked about earlier involving the gas cans and vehicles. Now how many soldiers do you think could have died due to that one soldier’s failure to follow instructions? The consequences or potential consequences of not following orders outweigh just simply exercising integrity, honor and duty and simply doing the right thing. The orders that a supervisor in the armed forces gives their subordinates is critical to the mission and to everyone’s safety, especially in a time of war. This is in my opinion on of the most important examples of what not following orders in a time of war can get you. It’s not just on deployments but also when soldiers serve in their home duty stations can not following the orders of their supervisor put them and their teammates in danger. In conclusion following orders is essential to the order and success of our military. This is true when not in times of war but also in times of war. It may seem that it’s of greater importance during a time of war when on a deployment assignment, but in all honesty is equally important during all times of a soldier’s service in the armed forces.
