Alexander Hamilton shaped most of the ideas and compromises of the U.S constitution. Hamilton’s ideas and beliefs were greatly shaped by the writings of David Fume, who believed that the best form of government is one where they have a strong national government. His ideas of a form government were like the British form of government, because of that many delegates didn’t agree with him. But Hamilton was one of the reasons why the delegates showed up to the Philadelphia convention in 1787. Delegates were supposed to meet in Annapolis to discuss the Articles of Confederation, few came one of them being Alexander Hamilton, who represented New York. No one took the Articles of Confederation seriously, and most the states didn’t show up. Hamilton knew that this was going to cause problems, he knew that without a meeting about the rules and laws of the government, U.S.A will not rise or be respected. Hamilton gave the idea that the government should have three parts for checks and balances them being, Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary. The delegates ended up agreeing with him, they knew that for now, this was going to be the best form of government. He believed that the president should have a life term if the president is well not corrupt, he thought that this was best, because in a short amount of time the president wouldn’t be able to achieve as much as they would want to. When the final draft of the constitution came about, he didn’t agree with most of it, but he sign it, he knew that one needed to reach a conclusion, for the better of the U.S
