Have you ever wondered what Benjamin Franklin’s guided principles were? I would think that his guided principles would be that he had honesty and initiative. Benjamin Franklin shows and expresses these qualities in his autobiography. The first quality I think Benjamin has is honesty. In his autobiography it states, “Thus I went up Market Street as far as Fourth Street, passing by the door of Mr. Read, my future wife’s father; when she, standing at the door, saw me, and thought I made, as I certainly did, a most awkward, ridiculous appearance.” When he said that, he was being open and honest about looking awkward and ridiculous. That’s why I believe that one of his guiding principles would be honesty.
