Mr. Scrooge doesn’t understand the real meaning of business he think business is all about the money. Dickens helps the reader understand that being human means taking care of others through interactions interactions with other people.
In stave 1 Scrooges definition on a man’s business is making money. This impact made Scrooge's life miserable. For example on page 22 it states, “But you were always a good man of business.” This shows how when talking to Marley he thought life was all about business and Scrooge’s point of view on business is money.
