Many people judge Edward Abbey because he appears to be an insane racist lunatic in his books and as a result, they automatically link the Edward Abbey in the books to that of the real world. And they would be right, the Edward Abbey in his books is a crazy lunatic but this is not the case with the man himself in real life that Edward Abbey in real life is a much more quieter color and sane person that is just concern for the environment and is prepared to, if necessary, write offensive novels and content to grab the attention of the public eye.

Many of Abbey’s top critics criticize him for being unpredictable and insane. Even in his writing often stating that he should even take responsibility for the actions of his readers because his books are sometimes so Pro sabotage. But what they fail to recognize is that Edward Abbey Road from his heart and did not write based on political correctness. Edward Abbey is an excellent example of this. People consider Abbey an insane writer, misleading people to do damage to their society, but in truth he was more of a hero than anything else. Surely the man exaggerated events and characters in his books, but that helps grab the attention of his readers. Anything less and people would have dismissed Abbey as a boring, irrelevant writer, but instead he rallied people behind him. These people that worked long after his death to help prevent human greed from destroying the planet, and to help preserve the American wilderness.
