Because of the wet air in the cylinder of magnetic separator, the magnetic system often adopts the strontium ferrite magnets and ndfeb magnets, among which the ndfeb magnets has a weaker chemical stability and the surface is easy to be oxidized and peel off step by step. While the strontium ferrite magnets are stable in the chemical performance, the peeling off problem also occurs. The drum skin of the magnetic separator receives constantly impact from the granular iron ore, so it is important to protect the cylinder. Too much abrasion will lead to the wearing out of the cylinder skin and the ore pulp will enter into the cylinder,coal belt conveyor even closely stick to the surface of the magnetic system.
