The story starts off by explaining how the Greeks approached the Trojans kingdom wall and how Apollo revealed him self to Achilles and explaining how powerful he is because he is a "deathless god". After Hector's hallucinations Achilles chases Hector around the wall. Achilles confident in his running speed chases Hector while he tries to run away since Hector is not confident in his fighting skills. While Achilles was chasing Hector the gods are watching and Athene asks her father Zeus if he would save a mortal that was doomed to die long ago. Zeus, replies to Athene with "do as you will". After Hector running towards the walls hoping to get shelter in the solid walls where the guards may help him but Achilles being a step ahead of him
