The involvement of Jesuits, and other Europeans within Indigenous affairs and the increased trade of goods between Europeans and other Indigenous nations changed the dynamics of war in the region. Even though the French historically weren’t involved in the beginnings of the Iroquois and Huron rivalry, but because they “posed a strategic threat” to the Mohawks and allied the Algonquins they got into the middle of it(JR 9).
