Stereotyping is an issue we have in today’s society. Many people, including myself, are victims of it. I am always stereotyped when I’m in school. I often get stereotyped and judged simply because I’m Hispanic. People will make jokes about mowing lawns and gardening because that is how society sees us these days. But that is most certainly not the case. I am also judged by the way I dress. I love to wear flannel shirts and button down shirts along with converse shoes so people categorize me as a hipster. However, the number one thing that people say I am is a nerd. My love for comic books and superheroes is primarily why people say that about me. Yes, I am a nerd and a geek but I’m so much more than that and people do not see that side because they instantly jump to conclusions about me. I am a good person. I'm not great, but i'm not terrible either. . I try to be as nice as I possibly can because I don’t want people to think that I’m just another misbehaved teenager. In addition to that, I can also be a bit of a know it all. If someone gets something wrong I will instantly try to correct them. I don’t do it to be rude, I just want to help them. Just as how I am a know it all, I am smart too. I get fairly good grades and I am really good at memorizing
