What are the issues facing indigenous Australians that need to be highlighted?
Many problems are facing indigenous Australians, which need to be highlighted to inform fellow Australians. Therefore, Australians need to know and understand Indigenous matters related to health, economics, income, education, and racism, which are affecting indigenous Australians significantly.
During 2007 and 2009, many indigenous Australians experienced poorer health at least 1.7 times more than other Australians do . Therefore their generation is dying at much younger ages. The health issues relating to indigenous Australians are life expectancy, which is a long-term health and well-being issues. Life expectancy is a connection between low life expectancy for Indigenous Australians affected by poor health. In 2012- 2013, Indigenous Australians were more likely to be hospitalized four times more than non- indigenous Australians . The rate of suicide amongst Aboriginal people has become a crisis in remote communities. As 95% of Indigenous, people are affected by suicide.
