The Journey of Thumb In “Tom Thumb” One of Grimm's Fairy Tale the character Tom explored the real world by accident. Although Tom’s journey is a mistake it is action filled. His first struggle is the decision he makes, to get back home to his mother and father. Another is the how his height shows slows him down; he really can not travel that fast on his own because of all of the danger. Last is the people tom helped, for them to help him make it back to his family. It had all started, when Tom had helped his father haul firewood back to there house. Tom had saw that his dad is cutting firewood, and his father could not take the wood up to the house while he was cutting the wood. So Tom asked his dad to put him in the horse's ear and he will tell the horse commands to get the wood to there house. However his father was hesitant to let Tom do it, however Tom was able to convince his father. It worked just the way Tom thought it would. While Tom was in the horse’s ear, there was two servants that were going by. They were astonished because they didn't see any one guiding the horse’s.
