In the book “The Kite Runner”by Khaled Hosseini it allows the readers to see the social class . Amir, Hassan ,Baba, rahim khan Assef were the main characters in the book . Amir comes from a high class with a wealthy family while Hassan comes from a lower class with a family that doesn’t have that much money. In Afghanistan u would be punished for the ethnicity group, majority (Sunni Muslims) and the minority (Shi'a Muslims). The kite runner has much, to do the issue of social class because of the characters relationship with one another religious beliefs and physical features .
Amir and Hassan are in two different social class . Amir is a sunni muslim and his father Baba was a wealthy business man. They had lots of privileges then what a lot of people in Afghanistan had. Amir goes to school, owns book and reads well. However for Hassan he is a

He was also a second father to Amir he understood him and was their for him when Baba would ignore him. He would always have wise words for amir and would encourage Amir to follow his dreams"As always, it was Rahim Khan who rescued me"(43). Rahim khan never cared if u were pashtun and hazara he would treat everyone the same. He tells this story to Amir about how he was about to marry this Hazara girl which he loved so much, but his family reacted very strongly even giving death threats and he eventually never married the girl. rahim khan wanted to give a understanding to amir that pashtun and hazara have no difference and that there were same. Amir had this guilt inside of him for what he did to hassan until Rahim Khan called him and flats out says "There is a way to be good again" (1).He knew what Amir did to hassan but he never judged him for it but instead told him him that their was a way for him to fix his mistakes. Rahim Khan was a understanding person he loved doing that right even tho he knew it would hurt
