Well this is exactly what Marlee does in The Lions of Little Rock By Kristin Levine. Therefore Liz, Judy, & Sally all influenced Marlee to speak more often, and to more people. She politely refused, but Marlee politely asked to join, and as soon as Mrs. Withdrop accepts Marlee gives her the one dollar fee. Even though now that Marlee and Liz can not see each other, they still try to keep the friendship lasting, even though it may not work out. They still are working on the project together,and keep on trying to win the election, that WEC and CROSS are having. After the Election is over, Marlee and Liz meet up at the zoo, which could be the last time they even see each other. The reasoning for that is because Liz’s mom and Liz, have both decided that it would be a lot easier and safer if they do not continue to be friends anymore. Above all of that Marlee has her sister Judy who keeps telling her to be true to herself and others and everything will work out, even though things still maybe horrible right then and there. Like what Marlee does every time when her sister to do something to make Marlee better, she listens. She starts to think of more and more ways to help stop the Secretion, even though there is still a lot of work to be done yet.
