For months after finishing “The Fixer,” I found my mind wandering back to the plot, pondering the essence of the series and the characters’ futures for how Barnes subtly sprinkled clue by clue, one plot twist after another, throughout the story. And the story’s intricacy of conspiracies and constant questioning until the very end only expanded within “The Long Game,” leaving readers in constant hunger for more. Thus, if all Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ work contains such admirable craftsmanship, I must get my hands on her other books.
