We all related in a way to our parents whether we like it or not. However we all take different paths but we can’t help that we act similar to our parents. In the story’s The Lost Hero, and The Lightning Thief characters can connect through and have conflicts with other Greek or Roman Demigods. In the Lightning Thief the characters have tight bonds between characters like Percy. They were on a quest to rescue Percy’s mom. In the Lost Hero, the characters from the start of the story face multiple events that lead to the discovery of their background. Jason is on a quest to reconnect with his Roman roots where he was transported to a group of Greek Half-bloods. The Greek demigods are derivative from the Roman side of their parents. “Probably nothing,’Frank said. ‘Romans and Greeks have an old rivalry. These reveal the hate for one another and the differences between camps in each books.
Also, the differences in the books are set up in past situations or instances for characters. Conflict reflects on character values in each of the stories somewhat how Leo is sensitive about his Mother and his accident. “He-phaestus,” Will corrected. “God of blacksmiths and fire.” Leo had heard that too, but he was trying not to think about it. The god of fire … seriously? Considering what had happened to his mom, that seemed like a sick joke.” (TLH,24). This experience shows that he is uneasy about talking about fire due to something brought up in his past.”‘Thank god,” Piper sighed. They mesh together to bring out the background of their problems and some of their values similar to the difference of the characters.“It says who I pick,” Jason agreed. “The forge and dove shall break the cage. The forge is the symbol of Vul—Hephaestus...Then Leo stood up. He’d been so quiet, Piper had almost forgotten he was there, which was totally not like Leo. “It’s me,” he said. His cabin mates stirred. Several tried to pull him back to his seat, but Leo resisted. “No, it’s me. I know it is. I’ve got an idea for the transportation problem. Let me try. I can fix this!” Jason studied him for a moment. Piper was sure he was going to tell Leo no. Then he smiled. “We started this together, Leo. Seems only right you come along. You find us a ride, you’re in.” “Yes!” Leo pumped his fist.” (TLH,131). This is similar to how Percy went on his quest with Annabeth and Grover the main three characters in the Lightning Thief. This author’s craft move builds character and suspense throughout both stories.
Lastly, both of the stories share the same author. Since both stories have the author they in fact do have similar crafts. The Lightning Thief has the author’s craft of honing your skills and following your path even if you never knew or like your parent.The Lost Hero shares the same idea of following your path,
