I felt that “Antigone” took place during the time of King Arthur, the Medieval Time set in Europe. This play has it a tragic moment and the moment determination between the will of a human (men versus women). In this case, it is the will of Antigone who is one of the women that will be sacrificing her life for what is right even knowing that the consequence will mean that she will be sent to death. During that time of period being defiance against the higher power of men is just not possible especially for women, Antigone has no place or saying in the matter once the king had made his decision. I would like the audience to feel that the pain and to be able to see why Antigone stood her ground even to her death. Antigone had known her fates and had except her fate. Her character and Haemon is very tragic and these two lover deaths were worth to remember. As for Creon, there were a thing that he had made to bend his rules but in a secretly way so this way other would not think that he is weak or that he back his words. During this time honor and pride is everything especially for a man, he did not want to be seen as a weak king to his people. If Creon had known that he will lose his son Haemon in return I felt that his decision would regarding punish and her sister Islemen would be different. All in all, this play is still tragic for the three characters who are Antigone, Haemon and Creon. Creon will forever live in regret for killing his own son which is a heavy burden. As for the sound, it has enhanced the tragic of the play as well as the climatic changes where Antigone show her true epic self. The light shows the darkness of the play, no color it should be red, gray and black and maybe purple for the love of the play. For the costumes, they should be designed in the
