The Magical Coin
I stepped outside my backdoor and unto the dark, unbeaten path of the dewy forest before me. It was my ritual to go for a morning jog, but today something did not seem right. The murky fog and sudden stillness of Mother Nature seemed unusually eerie as I stare down the path. After several quiet minutes of doubting my bravery, I decide to hold my head high, and start putting one foot in front of the other; While entering the darkness, I felt a swift gust of iceberg cold air swallowing my body. I glanced through the cloudy substance coming from my mouth as I exhaled, and saw nothing but the trail ahed. The creaking trees and barking animals are almost unbearable. Just as I am about to turn around in fear, I remind myself that I am a stronger person than that, so I set forth again into a trot. About five minutes into my jog I notice I am starting to wheeze. I know that the cold air is not good for my health so I decide to take a break. As soon as I stop, I look around to see the beauty of the forest in front of me, but again something did not seem right. There was not the usual beauty within the trees, and the animals scurrying around, just darkness. right before I set out again I notice this strange coin directly in front of my feet. At first I convince myself that it if just a normal coin and nothing to be surprised about but then I decide to pick it up, As I pull the coin closer to my face to get a better look, I am amazed at what I see. The coin is so beautiful. It is gold in color and has a sun engraved in both sides. After placing it in my pocket to show my findings to everybody back at home, I set forth in a jog again. While jogging for another minute I look up at the trees again and notice something different. The sun is out, the trees are greener, the air is fresh, and the sky is clear. All of the stillness has disappeared, and there is nothing but beauty in the air and all around me. I start to think
