The Civil Rights Movement
“I have a dream” the famous words of Martin Luther king jr that major speech was not planned while Martin was standing he started his speech but somebody yelled out from behind him on the risers “tell them about the dream“ .The dream is a topic brought up in the last speech that day held by Martin .This was a very important part of the civil rights movement let me take a closer look at that .There are so many ways to describe the civil rights movement , immense , touching , powerful but anyway this is the civil rights movement, there were so many causes such as violence separation or segregation or discrimination such as unfair treatment caused because of your race age or gender and some effects such as the day that they passed the law that stated that African Americans to vote and when they got total freedom .

I am talking about a major cause of the outcome of the civil rights movement . According to www.history.com The cause I am talking about is the seperation or segregation of the African Americans such as the seats on the busses .

This event happened on March 7, 1965 , a march is when African Americans walk from one destination to another . They had just started their march they were in Alabama about to cross the Elmud pettus bridge . something was waiting on the other side, a lot of Alabama troops . When the African Americans got to the troops they had the choice to turn around but they did not turn around. Since a march is a peaceful demonstration of freedom they did not go in fighting they just ran as far as they could to get away from the troops .Afterwards they meet at their meeting place the local church . The sad thing is that tons of African Americans were being killed and beaten like that day but the extra sad thing was nothing was being done about it . Eventually the marches were protected but in 1965 the marches were not
