Rebel Run When I found out Rebel Run was a requirement for my Edhe class I was a little worried. Although storming the field for the first game sounds awesome and definitely a one of a kind experience, I knew it would not just be a few of us. Well the total kids signed up were 2,400 and I knew this could possibly result in something bad. I think the idea of Rebel run is fantastic. It really gets people in the school spirit and adds to the fun experience of going to a football game. Another perk I thought that made rebel run a great event is that even if you were not able to get season tickets a student could go to the game for free if they signed up. The only downside of that is the student section was already completely full when we were storming the field.
Meeting up at the Lyceum steps was smart since its easy to find and visible but getting to the stadium was definitely a challenge. I found it was easy to get my shirt the only thing about it was the extreme heat. It had been hot all day so it was not a factor that could have been changed. Another downside to the experience was the waiting around and not given information for when things were going to get started. All 2,400 of us were waiting around in this giant crowd of sun, sweat, and no water. Finally we were set free on to the field and it definitely made up for the miserable beginning to it.
