The Miwok tribes’ location was from present day San Francisco all the way up to the Sacramento area. They were one of the few tribes to live away from the ocean. They had a vastly large population of tribe members which was over 25,000 in 1769. This specific tribe was known for their immense knowledge and skills of constructing large building that were used for different types of meetings. They used various material for their creations such as wood and bark; this shows their resourcefulness of using their surroundings to build for their people.
