In conclusion Clueless is a great movie that reflects many of the ideas, theories, and trends of fashion. It encompasses the psychology of fashion as well as the stereotypes. After the makeover, Tai feels more confident and begins to dress like a snob and therefore begins to act like a snob. Cher and Dionne's desire to give Tai a makeover portrays what the ideal female body should look in order to receive attention from males. All examples are prevalent in relation to the topic of social construction of gender. The film is an accurate portrayal of race and gender in the media also; would a great case study for fashion majors to review the major fashion theories.
