Poverty is when a family is living on minimum wage or less and can not afford to take care of themselves and their family. Poverty is something that happens to the working class who don’t make much money, this could be because they aren’t working, or are trying to find a job, or just don’t make enough money at their jobs. The myths that our nation associate with poverty are called “welfare queens” and are associated with mainly single teenage mothers who keep having children for benefits.
