The exhibition of The Battle of Long Island, which is also known as the Battle of Brooklyn, is an article which discussed the events that took place after the British evacuated Boston. Washington guessed correctly that the British would attack through New York. The document states some of the decisions taken by Washington and other generals during the attacked in New York. The historian argued and believed that Washington knew his troops were not prepared by stating, “somehow his undisciplined troops could hold off an attack”. Still, the historian makes it clear that even though Washington guess correctly that the attack would be in New York the inexperience and misguided decisions cost them the battle and the revolutionary army had to abandon the fight.
