The New Testament is a collection of religious documents that was assembled in the first and second centuries in the area surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. These documents were based on the lives and doctrines of Jesus Christ and his disciples.
Jesus Christ was a man born into a Jewish family and he and his followers believed him to be the Messiah or Christ projected in the Jewish religious texts known to Christians as the Old Testament.
