The Outsiders The Outsiders is about a gang of Greasers and their story. The book is from the point of view of Ponyboy Curtis in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They get into many fight the Socs the rich and preppy kids. They go through many things in the book. Some of their friend die and some of their enemies die. Some characters look a little different then the description from the book. Theses are the description from the the book, Ponyboy has long light brown hair and green eyes. Darry is tall with dark brown hair and a cowlick his eyes are cold. Sodapop is movie star handsome with dark gold hair combed back and dark brown eyes. The Curtis brothers all get along fairly well but Pony and Darry don't always see eye to eye. The gang has a strong relationship that can't be broken no matter how much they fight. With Cherry it gets a little complicated since she's a soc and one of the greasers killed her boyfriend. She gives the greasers information on what the socs are doing, she also likes Darry even though he's a Greaser. In the movie they leaves out a lot but few are really important to the story. The most important ones are, Ponyboy talking and calling his teacher about the theme because in the movie you really have no idea what he was doing when he starts writing. Also Pony passing out after Dally gets shot. Another important one is the court hearing because if you just watched the movie you would know what happen to Pony. Some less important parts are Randy coming to talk to Pony, Pony getting in a fight with the Socs at the beginning, and Pony recovering. They also added a few things, Dally pointing the gun at the doctor after Johnny dies and Dally playing 52 card pickup with the kids. In Conclusion a lot happens between the greasers and socs. Some die from both gangs. There are many differences between the movie and book. There are also many similarities. The themes are the same, stay gold, stay yourself, everyone has problems, and there's always good in the
